SUMMARY:“6769” MARGO SARKISOVA
DESCRIPTION:2019 – or 6769 by Assyrian chronology is the starting point for the project about the difficult essence of cultural self-identification. Margo Sarkisova asks herself : “Why did the world I grew up in made me the person that I am? Who did I take after\, and how do you understand? What does family mean? Who have I become? ”.  \nAccording to the concept : “Native culture as a power and as an injury – such a polarity of experiences creates an internal pulsation of the exhibition “6769 “. Margo does not look at attractive and sublime book images\, the nerve of her works is life itself\, a mold of everyday worldview ”. \nA series of graphic artworks will be presented at the exhibition\, along with the central work “Initiation” – 5 huge works telling us about the way of difficult changes. Also some personal artifacts of the artist are included\, connected to the Assyrian culture and the artist’s family. \n  \n
