SUMMARY:CURATORIAL INTENSIVE
DESCRIPTION:From September 6 to 12\, 2017\, at the initiative of the Municipal Gallery\, an educational platform will take place in Kharkiv — the second intensive course for young curators selected through a competition from all over Ukraine\, with renowned experts from Austria\, the Czech Republic\, Ukraine\, and Poland participating as trainers. Its first edition in 2015 generated great interest among young theorists\, and the following year and a half confirmed the effectiveness of this project. \nThe intensive consists of lectures by leading experts\, practical work in groups\, and individual communication with the lecturers. In addition\, this year the dates of the Curatorial Intensive coincide with the dates of Performance Night — another initiative of the Kharkiv Municipal Gallery dedicated to performance art. \nThe intensive programme is aimed at young professionals in the field of contemporary art; it provides an opportunity not only to deepen specialized knowledge but\, most importantly\, to gain the unique practical experience of renowned curators. \nWorkshop trainers: Mikhail Rashkovetsky / Ukraine\, Waldemar Tatarczuk / Poland\, Marek Pokorný / Czech Republic\, Anton Lederer / Austria. \nApplications for participation are accepted until July 16. \nThe results of the competition will be announced by the end of July. \nThe organizers do not reimburse participants’ travel and accommodation expenses. \n  \n
