SUMMARY:"DISORDERED CONNECTIONS". WORKS FROM THE COLLECTION OF TETYANA AND BORYS HRYNIOVYCH.
DESCRIPTION:Ivan Aliskevich\, Oleg Grunzovsky\, Vladyslav Krasnozhok\, Oleg Malovany\, Sergiy Paradzhanov\, Oleksandr Pechersky\, Oleksandr Roitburd\, Vasyl Ryabchenko\, Sergiy Svyatchenko\, Oleg Sokolov\, Yuriy Sokolov\, Sergiy Solonsky\, Oleksandr Sudakov\, Oleksandr Suprun\, Anatoliy Shevchuk. \n  \nCurated by Marina Konyeva. \n  \nThe exhibition will showcase works by renowned Ukrainian artists created using collage and assemblage techniques. Viewers will have the opportunity to discover that in the act of collaging\, layering\, and juxtaposing disparate and seemingly incompatible elements\, there is a hidden eroticism\, an “attraction of opposites\,” and at the same time\, it reveals the artist’s intimate self-gratification. \n  \nThrough their collage techniques\, the artists skillfully deceive the average viewer. At first glance\, these works may appear easily executed and give the impression of random placement of elements on a single plane\, which might elicit the familiar viewer response: “I can do that too!” However\, a deeper analysis of such works allows one to appreciate the unique ability of the artists to create complex and harmonious compositions that are built on the interplay of forms\, textures\, volumes\, and colors. By appropriating visual elements through the layering of quotes\, images\, and meanings\, the artists articulate and convey their own authorial perspective. When examining these compositions\, one vividly imagines the process of their creation and senses the artist’s inner monologue and simultaneous dialogue with the universe. \n  \nMost of the works presented in the project also demonstrate the dialogue of contemporary Ukrainian artists with creators of the past\, drawing on the entire wealth of world art history. Through this interaction\, our authors seek their place in this history while naturally assuming the role of demiurges who\, out of chaos\, create their own universe\, filling it with rules and principles. \n  \nAs part of the project\, the following is planned: \n– February 5th (Saturday) at 4:00 PM – Curator’s tour by Marina Konyeva. \n
