DESCRIPTION:Nastia Loiko\nVideo Art\nThe project consists of 4 video works by the artist.\nWe present video art by Crimean-Zaporizhzhia artist Nastia Loiko.\nThe Municipal Gallery’s underground venue\, the “Art Basement”\, has long been known for its hospitality toward media art. This time it presents the project “Effortless Work”. Several video installations take us on a journey from Kharkiv to Crimea\, where “The beach is a territory of naked revelations on the boundary of water\, earth and air\, without documents or clothes. To the beach! We crawled silently down toward the sea\, embracing large stones\, where cicadas lick the pebbles. At family breakfasts over cucumbers\, bread and crabs\, the president’s black helicopter hovered in the sky combed through by border guards\,” Nastia Loiko shares her impressions. The artist observes how every September the coast stages its own performance: rains of little frogs\, flocks of swans on the estuary\, while in the Year of the Snake there were so many snakes on the island that they turned into a subway for flies.
