DESCRIPTION:Kharkiv photographer Vasyl Golosny filmed the life of the city during the power outages of 2022–2023\, caused by Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine.\nThe author generally shows the image of life in complete darkness as an allegory for dark times. In the middle of the night\, the camera notices bright stars and the moon\, flashlights in the hands of passers-by – sources of external light. But more importantly\, in the darkness\, the inner light of a person appears: parents with children\, couples in love\, pet owners on a walk – people who fill the city streets with tenderness in the worst period. \n“Kindness\, care for those around them\, love – these are\, in my opinion\, manifestations of the light that gives hope and saves in dark times\,” the author notes. \nThe final photos of the series – Kharkiv in the light of lanterns.\nVasyl Golosny’s series of powerless Kharkiv tells about the search for a saving glow in pitch darkness. \n  \n  \nPhotographer VASYL GOLOSNIY\nInst. @vasilgolosnii\nExhibition curators: Daria Gerasimova\, Yevhen Danylenko
