SUMMARY:KONSTANTIN ZORKIN’S EXCURSION THROUGH OXANA SOLOP’S PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:Visual art does not need explanations\, the viewer’s trust in his feelings is enough. Then there is a real dialogue between the artist and the audience — it is a dialogue without words\, communication at the level of reading visual images\, an ideal situation of mutual understanding\, which happens very rarely. It also happens that the artist himself seems to  avoid dialogue by creating mysterious\, harsh and even frightening works. Then the viewer freezes in despair\, not finding a place for himself in the artist’s world. \nOksana Solop’s project does not hide from reality. It exists in the same dimension as you and I\, but the state in which the project immerses us may seem painful\, if not pathological\, to many; it can be terrifying and repulsive. That will be wrong\, because what the artist wants to convey with her project concerns everyone and needs being comprehended. Because “Home Sweet Home” is a story about the past which can not be forgotten and cannot be lived either. \nWe invite you to a tour of Oksana Solop’s project “Home Sweet Home”\, to not only see but also hear this story.
