SUMMARY:MYKYTA FILONENKO "MARGINAL ACTION."
DESCRIPTION:Mykyta Filonenko is a young Kharkiv artist. The main sphere of his artistic interests is computer games as art. The artist’s first game\, “Vasilisa\,” was presented in the autumn of 2015. Now Mykyta is working on his second major project\, “Oblivion.” \nMarginal (from Latin margo — edge) action is a project that tells visitors about the spheres located between the artistic process and other areas of human activity. Such boundaries lie between contemporary art\, politics\, mass culture\, and science. Only in such spheres are experiments and new discoveries possible\, since the mechanisms of interaction within them have not yet been fully formed. Likewise\, the formation of the discursive field that makes it possible to speak of something as art\, or to deny its belonging to art\, has not been completed. \nAs part of the project\, there will be a presentation of the game “Oblivion” and a series of meetings: \nApril 30 at 17:00 — collage lecture “Marginal Action: Politics / Art”; \nMay 7 at 17:00 — Let’s Play of the game “Vasilisa” with discussion and commentary by the author; \nMay 14 at 17:00 — screening of A. Gryazev’s documentary film “Tomorrow” about the art group Voina. \n
