SUMMARY:OPEN CALL: SWAP 2018 RESIDENCES FOR ARTISTS AND CURATORS
DESCRIPTION:The British Council Ukraine and the Liverpool Biennale announce the launch of the third SWAP: UK/Ukraine Residency Program for artists and curators\, in collaboration with their Ukrainian partner institutions: Isolation. Platform for Cultural Initiatives (Kyiv)\, Museum of Contemporary Art of Odesa (Odesa)\, Yermilov Center (Kharkiv)\, Municipal Gallery (Kharkiv)\, Art Center Jam Factory (Lviv)\, Center for Urban History (Lviv)\, as well as partners from Liverpool: Bluecoat\, FACT and Open Eye Gallery. \n  \nIn its third phase\, the SWAP: UK/Ukraine Residency Program continues to enrich the world of visual arts in both the UK and Ukraine by offering to promising artists and curators what they need most: time\, support\, and new material to work with. As in previous years\, the program is also designed to provide artists with opportunities for research\, reflection and study of the artistic traditions of Great Britain and Ukraine. \n  \nFor the third residency program we are looking for: \n\na) three artists from Ukraine\, who will have an opportunity to spend 45 days at the residence under the supervision of the Liverpool Biennale team in September – October 2018;\nb) one curator from Ukraine\, who will be able to spend 45 days at the residency under the supervision of the Liverpool Biennale team in September-October 2018;\nc) six artists from the United Kingdom interested in residencies lasting up to 45 days with our Ukrainian partners in August-September (Kharkiv) and September-October 2018 (Kyiv\, Odesa\, Lviv).\n\n  \nArtists will be reimbursed for transportation\, accommodation\, workshop expenses\, per diems and scholarships for research work. \nThe deadline for applications is July 15\, 2018.
