DESCRIPTION:Supported by Nuremberg House / Kharkiv \nFew places have the dramatic potential and wonder of train stations and airports: people meet and part\, experience the pain of leaving and the joy of meeting\, it’s here that destinies are determined and paths of life are changed. So it is not surprising that writers of all eras and cultural circles chose stations as dramatic stages for their works of art. \nNuremberg photographer Christian Hen set out on a journey to document artistically the locations of these emotional literary moments. In his large-format photographs\, he blurs the line between reality and poetry and creates surreal photographs of station buildings; he lets viewers join his search for the stormy emotions from literary works. \nHis work is complemented by quotations and excerpts from epic and lyrical poetry which deal with destinies\, feelings\, and changes connected with stations from the five continents.
