SUMMARY:WE WERE BORN TO MAKE KAFKA COME TRUE : EXHIBITION – COLLAGE
DESCRIPTION:In THE MUSEUM of ODESSA MODERN ART there will be a wide exhibition of Kharkiv artist and writer-conceptualist Vagrich Bakhchanan\, the author of the aphorism “We were born to make Kafka come true”. \nFor the 55th anniversary of the exhibition in the courtyard on Sumskaya street.  \nThe gallery was supposed to participate in the annual Night of Museums with an artistic action\, however the pandemic has changed our plans. Now\, coming out of a two-month quarantine and adjusting exhibition plans\, we are transferring our idea from an actional version to a full-length exhibition. \nThe exhibition is dedicated to an act of civil and artistic fearlessness\, when a group of informal creative youth of Kharkiv staged the first unauthorized exhibition on the territory of the USSR. The illegal exhibition was initiated and conducted by Vagrich Bakhchanyan on his 27th birthday\, May 23\, 1965. It had taken place 9 years before the notorious Bulldozer Exhibition.  \nThat is why on the 23rd of May\, 2020 we will open our exhibition without a vernissage\, and in compliance with all sanitary standards and precautions. \nKharkiv viewers will be offered an exhibition-document that tells about one of the most interesting Kharkiv citizens\, whose return to his small homeland began in 2016.
