DESCRIPTION:Ildan Izmailovych Yakhin \nIn each of his exhibitions\, the artist seeks not only to immerse the viewer in the world of his dreams and creative revelations\, but also to expand the traditional and established understanding of the expressive possibilities of graphic language. This year’s exhibition by I. I. Yakhin is no exception. \nDriven by a desire to move away from established solutions developed over the years\, the artist confidently follows the path of the unexpected\, directing his efforts and abilities toward experimentation and unconventional graphic solutions. The artist knows how to construct a graphic composition in such a way that\, having acquired the status of a sign\, it not only retains its recognizable quality but also gains a particularly powerful metaphorical force. \nBy incorporating color and tone into spatial relationships that are organically integrated into the format of the graphic sheet\, and by enhancing the rhythm and silhouette of living form\, I. Yakhin elevates graphic art to the level of synthetic art\, where painting speaks through graphic\, linear and planar elements\, while graphic art acquires the qualities of painterly plasticity. \nAll this is enveloped in a distinctive meditative quality\, in temporal and spatial constants of beauty that\, like the starry sky overhead\, require prolonged and thoughtful contemplation. The quiet music of the artist’s graphic and painterly reflections promises the viewer genuine pleasure and intellectual enrichment through the experimental solutions proposed by the master. \nLet us therefore wish the exhibition an appreciative audience and worthy admirers of the art of this outstanding Kharkiv graphic artist! \nOles Tomakh / art historian
