In the spring season of 2022, a series of events was launched as part of the international CityX ART Project Link, which is a collaboration between Ukraine, the United States, and Georgia. The Ukrainian side of the project is represented by our gallery and the VOVATANYA Gallery. CityX is an NFT collection featuring the most outstanding avant-garde artists of the city of Kharkiv. This project is based on the foundation of the MistoKhA project of 2017–2018 (National Art Museum of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Municipal Gallery in Kharkiv), which proved to be significant and important for Kharkiv and the whole of Ukraine. During the period of 2022–2023, panel discussions, project presentations, as well as participation in conferences and art fairs took place. The CityX project also visited Paris, Lisbon, Valencia, and New York. The Director of the Municipal Gallery, Tetiana Tumasyan, together with the CityX team, participated in all discussions related to the Ukrainian NFT collection of avant-garde artists, as well as spoke about the art of Ukraine and raised the important issue of the potential loss of art as a result of the full-scale war in Ukraine.

The mission of CityX is to preserve Ukrainian art through NFT technology and to support Ukrainian artists in Kharkiv and galleries affected by the war. CityX contributes to the restoration of cultural spaces. It is important to protect Ukrainian works of art and cultural heritage. Thanks to innovative technologies such as blockchain and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), art experts and enthusiasts can ensure the protection and longevity of Ukrainian art.
