25 years ago, the Kharkiv City Gallery opened its doors to visitors, becoming the first municipal gallery in the country!

Over the years, “Munitsipalka” has become a cherished place for many, launching numerous projects not only in Kharkiv but also beyond, while popularizing contemporary art for the city’s residents.

In honor of the Municipal Gallery’s anniversary, we are launching the “25 Impactful Weeks” campaign, where we will reminisce and share with you our most memorable events from the past years. Each week will be dedicated to one year of the gallery’s life, with a series of posts appearing on all our social media platforms. We will recount the gallery’s years of operation in reverse order, starting from the most recent, 2020, and concluding with the atmosphere of the first day of operation on December 3, 1996, to celebrate the 25th anniversary together!
