LES PANCHYSHYN “WITHOUT WORDS” PAINTING
18.08.2026 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

the exhibition runs from June 15 to July 1 (11:00-19:00)
presentation on June 16 at 18:00
The gallery programme “New Names” introduces the work of the young Lviv artist Les Panchyshyn to the Kharkiv audience. The works presented at the exhibition are a kind of creative cross-section of the artist’s artistic preferences and achievements. The works demonstrate the diversity and versatility of his art. Les’s painting is viscous, with open color, dynamic planes, and symbolic imagery. He is equally adept at narrative compositions and allegorical-symbolic pictorial narratives. The decorative orientation of most of the works does not overshadow the strength of the formal nature of the painting and the artist’s ability to convey on canvas his metaphysical ideas about the world and human psychology. The project was titled “Without Words,” which hints at the ability of painting to tell about the world in its own language.
“…Without words. Why without words? Because there are already too many of them. I want nothing to distract, I want more actions, more specifics. The exhibition includes both early works and recently completed ones, focused on various themes and genres of painting. Most of the works are untitled: this was done deliberately so that nothing would distract the viewer from the painting, so that they could first become acquainted with the artist, his style, and his chosen motifs.”

The exhibition presents the series of works “Moving Forward.” The center of the exhibition is the series “Night,” “Day,” in which, through the prism of colors and pictorial structure, branches and trees emerge, as if offering a vision into another world filled with meanings. The viewer will also be able to become acquainted with the works with which the young artist began his creative path.
