…Shtepoglyphs (similar to petroglyphs*, hieroglyphs*) are the beginning of a study of universal and personal archetypes*.
The sun, a tree, grass, a ladder, a rake, a trident, a person, people, the universe…
And also certain inner things inherent specifically to the artist, which may eventually become universal archetypes — who knows….
Immersion in these things dear to the heart makes it possible to develop a personal alphabet, to reinvent one’s own letters, signs, and words, through which it will be possible to convey information, charge space, balance emotions, and draw-write one’s own book of life.
The “Shtepoglyphs” were preceded by a simplification in the artist’s works. These are primarily images of people, animals, and trees. Over time, painting series appeared: “Letters of Trees”, “Lively Brothers”, “Movements Inherent to My Body”. All of them organically became part of the unifying research series “Shtepoglyphs”…
