In 2019, the Municipal Gallery hosted the BRAT FILM FEST, a project by renowned Ukrainian artist and photographer Sergei Bratkov. Bratkov, a jury member of the NonStopMedia festival, co-curator of the “City XA” project, and a close friend of the gallery, presented 19 short films created spontaneously with his brother Yuri between 2008 and 2017. Initially made for a small circle of friends, these films, with their tense and grotesque scenes, video images, and storylines, were a reaction to significant events widely covered by the media.
