We continue our “25 Eventful Weeks” with “Nude”, a project by Lviv artist Vasylyna Burianyk.
Vasylyna, a laureate of the II Ukrainian Biennale, opened her solo project at the Municipal Gallery.
Drawing parallels between humans and nature as parts of a single whole, the artist reflects on the interconnectedness and identity between the human biological body and devastated natural landscapes.
Textiles – a rather unusual material for Kharkiv’s cultural scene – became the artist’s main tool for exploring environmental issues that are relevant to all of us.

In addition, throughout the exhibition, the gallery space was immersed in semi-darkness, with the lighting from the artist’s panels serving as the only source of illumination.
The unusual exhibition attracted the attention of many visitors, and some even tried to turn on the main lights in the hall, making the exhibition even more memorable for the Municipal Gallery staff themselves 😂
