We open the new 2016 season (Main Hall) with an exhibition of sculpture by Kharkiv artist Mykola Lodianyi.

Mykola Lodianyi was born in 1972. In 1996, he graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (Oleksandr Ridnyi’s studio). He currently lives and works in Kharkiv. Mykola’s first solo exhibition, entitled “Terrain Relief”, took place in 2009 at the Municipal Gallery. His second solo exhibition was also held at our gallery in 2012 and was dedicated to a topical subject — Euro 2012.

His third solo exhibition is entitled “Continuation”. It is a collection of the sculptor’s new works, created primarily in aluminum, as well as several works in bronze.

According to the artist, the exhibition addresses several current issues in contemporary sculpture, including the transition from the relief plane to three-dimensional form and the development of themes within the sculptural genre.
