Curatorial Project “ASPIRATION”

18.05.2017 @ 6:30 pm - 01.06.2017 @ 7:00 pm

Video, installation, painting, graphics, photography, objects, performance — this range of types and forms of contemporary art was united by Alesia Tomakha in the curatorial project on the theme of “Aspiration.” In itself, it denotes (in the phonetic sense) a pronounced form of human speech production, but in the context of the project it is conceived as a special, personal perception of our days by the artist. In the artist’s “pronouncing,” expressive act, there are always certain obstacles in communication (another meaning of the term “aspiration”). Free expression of form makes it possible to successfully overcome these obstacles.

Drawings of Bob Basset’s masks were used in the project poster and graphic works by Daria Khalina.

The project will open with a performance by Vinnytsia artist Natalka Lisova.

Aspirates of the project:

Serhiy Zhadan “The Fish Swims, I Swim” — audio recitation
