CADAF held its 5th Digital Art Fair at the Web3 Gallery in New York from November 11th to November 13th, 2022. The curator for the event was Coco Dollé.

Since 2019, CADAF has been organizing digital art fairs, featuring over 1,000 works from more than 500 artists from around the world. These events have taken place in cities such as New York, Miami, Paris, and also virtually.

As part of the Art Fair CADAF NYC 2023, five Ukrainian artists from the NFT CityX collection were showcased: Vitaliy Kulykov, Artem Volokitin, Hamlet Zinkivsky, Olena Lisnycha, and Igor Ilyinsky. Digital designers “brought to life” real paintings and graphics from renowned artists in Kharkiv using 3D versions, marking their first venture into the NFT and crypto art format at an international event of this level.

Olena Lisnycha is a Ukrainian artist, graphic designer, book illustrator, and a wonderful person who is a good friend of the Municipal Gallery. Her exhibition could be seen within the walls of the Municipal Gallery last year.

Vitaliy Kulykov is a renowned Ukrainian artist, graphic designer, book designer, and poster artist. He is a student of G. Bondarenko and a professor at the Department of Drawing and Painting of the Architecture Faculty at the Kharkiv State Technical University of Construction and Architecture. The artist’s works have been exhibited multiple times at the Municipal Gallery and beyond, and since 2015, the gallery has been running the project “Preserving Kulykov’s Legacy,” which serves as a comprehensive retrospective of the author’s work.

Artem Volokitin is one of the most sought-after Ukrainian artists, having received the unique Grand Prix NonStopMedia in the entire history of the festival and first place in the inaugural Pinchuk ArtPrize competition. Artem has participated in the main program of the Venice Biennale (2015) and many others.

Hamlet Zinkivsky is well-known for his street art works, illustrations, and is also a good friend of the Municipal Gallery. Since 2007, Hamlet has actively been painting on the streets of Kharkiv. During this time, his monochromatic graphic works with philosophical inscriptions have become an integral part of the city’s landscape. The artist values the interaction with the audience and considers himself a street artist. Despite personal popularity, participation in artistic projects, and the recognition of his work, he continues to paint on the streets of his city.

Throughout his forty years of artistic career, Igor Ilyinsky has illustrated over 140 books. He is known as a Kharkiv or Ukrainian Impressionist. The main characteristic of his paintings is capturing the mood. He skillfully depicts the melancholy of rainy weather experienced by the residents of European towns or the joyful atmosphere during evening strolls along the streets of Kharkiv. When viewing his retro-themed works, the feelings penetrate straight into the soul, transporting us to the past century as if in a time machine.
