After a short break, the underground ART Basement of the Municipal Gallery opens its doors with the “New Names” program, featuring pastel works by young Kharkiv artist Hanna Yarmoliuk.

Our perception of life is largely made up of memories. Some memories are specific, reflecting real events from our lives, while others are not directly connected with any particular events. Rather, they are associated with the feeling of something very close and familiar, perhaps even ordinary, sometimes very clear, sometimes almost elusive, yet invariably very meaningful. For example, the ability to feel very happy simply because the asphalt beneath your feet is warm, you are wearing light shoes, and somewhere among the treetops a turtledove is singing… My art is an attempt to capture this feeling…
