Waldemar Tatarczuk (b. 1964) is a Lublin-based artist working in the field of performance and media arts, and a curator. In his works, he often addresses historical and religious subjects. His best-known works include: “Bread – Wine – Blood” (1990), “Steps” (1997), “21” (2001), “Question” (2003). In addition to participating in numerous specialized festivals around the world, Tatarczuk has established himself as an active cultural organizer in Poland. He was the founder and curator of the Performance Art Centre in Lublin (1999-2010), founder of the “Open Archive” (2006) — a large database on performance art in Poland, director of the Labirynt Gallery in Lublin (since 2010), and the Bureau of Art Exhibitions in his hometown (since 2010).

On September 9 at 22:00, at Kharkiv Performance Night (Shevchenko Garden, the non-operational “Cascade” fountain), all lovers of this art form will be able to see a performance by Waldemar.
