As part of the “German Weeks. Kharkiv” program, the Municipal Gallery presents the Ukrainian-German art project “UNDERSTANDING” in the city’s public space. The project features eight young but already well-known Kharkiv artists and is jointly curated by Imke Rust (Berlin, Germany) and the Municipal Gallery. All works (installations, objects, performances, actions, street art, and original banners) will be presented on September 24 at various locations in central Kharkiv.

“Understanding” proposes using art to build a dialogue between representatives of different countries, cultures, and social groups, since art is a unique form of communication. It encourages the search for understanding not only between the artist and the viewer, but also between people and countries.
